With so many useful services on the Internet, you may end up with numerous accounts, with different login credentials. If you want to remember all your passwords and keep them safe at the same time, you should use a password manager. Password Sentinel allows you to store account details in a secure database and it provides various security features, so you can review and insert your login credentials in a secure fashion, even if someone is looking at the screen, over your shoulder.

The software is free, but you must upgrade to a Pro version, if you wish to use its advanced features and remove certain limitations. The installation process is fast and you will not encounter any complex options along the way. The software does not require additional tools or any .NET Framework updates, so you can launch it right away.

Passwords and other pieces of sensitive information can be organized on an explorer-like interface. You may create folders and sub-folders in a tree structure, on the left side of the window and view their contents on the right side. New entries can be defined on a separate window. Besides selecting one of your folders and typing the entry's title, you can also specify a username, password, URL and type your personal notes.

The software comes with a built-in password generator. It can be launched by selecting the appropriate option, in the Tools menu or by hitting a button, on the new entry window. You can generate passwords with thousands of upper or lower case characters, digits, special symbols and more. While creating a new entry, you can also insert regular expressions, if you wish to automatically insert your username and password or perform other actions.

You can right click one of your entries, to reveal various options, for launching its URL, auto-typing, copying the username or password to the clipboard and more. The main interface can be locked with a master password. This means that you need to remember a single password, even if you have countless accounts. You can also set the program to lock its interface automatically, when you minimize it, switch to another Windows user account, after a certain number of seconds and so on.

Pros

The software allows you to organize login details for numerous accounts. You can specify URLs, launch them from the main interface and auto-type your usernames and passwords. The program can lock its interface automatically, when you switch between user accounts or when you minimize the interface.

Cons

You may create a maximum of five entries, while using the free version. With Password Sentinel, you have to remember a single password to manage numerous accounts, with different login details.
